Meet our new puppy!
She is a Yorkie/Jack Russell Terrier mix, but she definitely looks more like a Jack Russell Terrier. Which is fine, because she seems to have inherited the Yorkshire Terrier personality! This little girl LOVES to snuggle! We picked her up today around 1pm, and all she's done all day is snuggle up to us and fall asleep repeatedly. She is about 2 pounds (maybe 3, if you push it) and somewhere between 4-8 weeks old. The breeder said she was 8 weeks, but according to her vaccination schedule she was born April 17th. So we're not exactly sure, but pleased to have her nonetheless. She's a good, mellow little dog, except for the 10 minutes right after she wakes up from a nap when she is ready to play, Jack Russell style! We don't think she'll get any bigger than maybe 12-15 pounds max as an adult. She is a TEENY little thing but oh-so-cute! One more thing: We haven't QUITE decided on a name. . .I called her Tater most of the day, but Mike didn't like that, so we've been trying out "Pocket" since numerous people today have said something along the lines of "she's pocket-sized." So we'll see what we end up with! Snuggling. . .
Snoozing. . . (Kristin, Melanie, and Rachel came over with the toddlers so we all had fun playing today. . .the idea was that they could play with the puppy, but instead she slept through most of the afternoon on my lap!)

OH my goodness! She is so cute! I love her face! She's like a little peanut! Almost, but not wuite, makes me think about getting another dog. Shhh! Don't tell John I said that :) Can't wait to see her in October but by then she'll be all grown up!

She's very cute! I say you should name her Winfield and you can call her Wini (like Winnie the Pooh). Then you wouldn't have to change your blog name! I like Pocket though. It's cute.

She is crazy cute! We almost got a puppy today, but as it turns out the dog will have to wait till we get our own house. (Figures, I guess...) But shoot, she's cute!!!

Fun- you got a dog! You should start a dog walking group with everyone in your neighborhood!
Ok, I just have to say that Matt and I have been stewing over getting a dog for months and after reading your post we decided to do it!!! You inspired us, and now we are the proud owners of a 9 week old cocker spaniel puppy names stella:) Good luck with your little cutie!
